Gritty win by the Zags. Felt a lot closer than the final margin.
🏀 WSU is a tough place to find basketball success and it's basically been dead to me since Kelvin Sampson left. I liked and respected the Bennetts, but I didn't prefer Dick's style of play and expected Tony to move on (and he did because WSU is a stepping stone for good coaches).
🏃 The upside of starting to do speed work on Tuesdays again is that running is a lot more interesting and enjoyable again. The downside is that I sat down to watch an episode of TV and had to quit 10 minutes in before I fell asleep!
I sort of knew that the vector drawing capabilities in Keynote are surprisingly good (I've heard people even use it to mock up software interfaces), but got confirmation when I did some further investigation today. Nothing really came of it, but filing away for later.
🏀 Gonzaga women fall to OSU 70-76 in a hard fought game in Corvallis. Their depleted roster faded a bit in the final minutes and allowed too many easy face up isolation drives. It's a shame the seeds weren't reversed with the Zags hosting the Beavers at home.
🎮 I see Wasteland 1: The Original Classic is for sale on GOG right now. I've never actually played it, but have been curious about it for a long time because of its shared heritage with Bard's Tale.
📺 Today is the first Apple Event that I can remember not bothering to tune in for, but I have perused a couple live blogs now that it's over. I'm sure Apple will have some good shows on their service, but the market is so saturated I struggle to fit in new shows all the time.
Apparently older 21.5" iMacs with Core i3 processors can be updated with pin compatible Core i7 CPUs. This seems crazy to me because I always assumed that Apple set them up like a permanently soldered laptop installation, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
🏀 Finally a game broadcast on CBS that I'm moderately interested in watching (UW - UNC) and it's not even competitive. UW looked completely out of their depth in the brief moments I was able to watch before giving up and letting my under-the-weather kids have the remote.
