🏀 As ugly as this game has been I like that the Zags were able to completely turn things around in just a few minutes with stops and 3s.
🏀 Slow start to the half, but Brandon Clarke, Snacks, and Kispert finally string together some plays that start to swing the momentum a little. 47-53 at the 15 minute mark.
🏀 Zags trail 37-45 vs Arizona at the half. Between the turnovers, missed free throws, and one sided officiating I'm kind of amazed it's this close.
🏀 I like Dave Winer's take on where Carmelo Anthony's career truly went awry: God gave him Linsanity [en.wikipedia.org], his hubris wouldn't let him accept it, and it's been all downhill ever since.
🏀 Illinois has managed to rattle Gonzaga with their defensive tenacity and the Zags' guard play has been pretty shaky as a result during this stretch. Turnovers from Perkins and a bad shot from Snacks.
🏀 Back to back 3s bring Illinois within 4 for the first time in ages. I've definitely felt like this was a closer game than the score indicated this half.
🛴 On a non basketball note only a handful of Lime scooters and bikes left in Spokane now. GU was completely bare of them today which was odd in that the bikes are supposed to stick around on campus through the winter. Maybe they're just taking a break for the holiday week?
🏀 Bill Walton just gave Jeremy Jones a ton of deserved love and is now lobbying for him to get player of the game. That was pretty cool and five minutes later he's still dropping JJ's name every chance he can.
🏀 Power row along the GU sideline. If I'm not mistaken Senator Maria Cantwell is sitting next to GU President Thayne McCulloh tonight.
🏀 Crazy ragged game for the Zags, but they still lead 39-32 at the half thanks in part to 12 from Jeremy Jones.
