I can accept the narrative that more motivated Republicans turned out for Tuesday's vote, but I wouldn't expect Lisa Brown to lose a significant number of the votes she had back in August and based on the turnout I would expect more votes than she received in August.
We'll see what the final tallies are in a couple days, but I will say I find it fairly odd that Lisa Brown is proportionally 1400 Spokane County votes short of where she should be if everyone that voted for her in the Primary voted for her again.
The local congressional race didn't turn out like I had hoped, but at least my voting district appears to be a segment of pink (< +50 for) in a sea of north Spokane County red on one map I saw. More importantly the Assault Rifle restrictions initiative (I-639) passed.

Big day. I voted the day after my ballot arrived and something like 100,000 other Spokane County residents had already voted yesterday as well so we're already on record turnout pace. Very curious to see what that translates to for our candidates and country.

🛴🚴♂ Rode a Lime eBike for the first time today. Pretty fun way to get Downtown quickly even if it doesn't go faster than 15mph. Good reminder that I need to finish my long overdue eBike project this winter because they're super fun.
