It snowed a little bit this evening right at the end of work, but it didn't end up being all that much. That was especially good since I usually park on a hill and it can be a big mess.

I think being able to see the latest doppler radar for the area is the coolest thing.

Tomorrow it's rematch time with University. The boys JV team plays at 4:45pm and the varsity plays at 8pm at U-High.

Today was a fine day for general relaxing and reading. Unfortunately that meant nothing in particular happened with my site here.

A Clash of Kings is finally out and all indications are that it's even better than A Game of Thrones!

Speaking of books, right now I'm reading Belgarath the Sorceror after putting off buying it for a long time and I'm enjoying it a lot. I may have to go back and read the Belgariad again soon.

The Ferris JV team started the day off right by beating North Central by about 25. The Ferris varsity team topped that with a 35 point win over NC.

G-Prep did one better by beating Central Valley 51-50 to hand them their first loss of the season.

Yesterday’s basketball game: Ferris 58, Rogers 44

Yesterday’s big upset: Shadle Park 55, Gonzaga Prep 54

That puts Ferris all alone in second place behind Central Valley.

I picked up my family's new iMac today!

Ferris plays Rogers today in what should be a pretty good basketball game at Ferris.

Today wasn't overly eventful. I helped my dad order a new blueberry iMac. That and I lugged my parents old couch downstairs. Ugh!

Watching the Super Bowl was kind of interesting this year. I went over to Dale’s house. His daughter Breanna ended up being more entertaining then the game for me.

I’ve been doing a variety of research on things I can do to improve my site at Script Meridian and webmonkey.

I went to The Thin Red Line with my mom and sister tonight. It was good.

I survived my visit up north to Mt Spokane high school. The JV team is still not playing at the level we’d like. Of course they did win by 30 points…

I picked up a new green mechanical pencil called the Technician II between games. It works quite well.

Hats off to Mt Spokane for their play in the varsity game. They played even with the Ferris varsity up until the last 3 or 4 minutes of the game and ended up losing by a surprising 4 points.

Tuesday we play Rogers and on a related note I just watched my first tv news sports low-light of the year. Rogers was playing LC in a close matchup and Q6 was showing some shots from the game. Then right in the middle of the piece a Rogers player travelled as he started to drive and they wasted a couple seconds worth of tv time on his meaningless layup following the turnover. Even worse they added insult to injury by making a stupid comment about the whole thing. I really think we could have done without that bit.
