β½ One general annoyance of being a cord cutter Spurs fan is that a fair amount of their games get put on USA rather than Peacock (which I have access to through work). Iβm going to use the YouTubeTV two week trial to finish out the season, but not a long term solution.
@matigo In direct contrast to the second season of Picard that I just finished and enjoyed because Patrick Stewart doing Star Trek is always entertaining, but overall found quite disappointing.
πΊIt's pretty fascinating how much online hate Paramount's Halo show is getting. I've been enjoying it quite a bit aside from the one annoying Kwan side plot. It probably helps that I never played the games and don't have any particular expectations.
@matigo In the case of Winota, yes, although part of the problem is that it's also just a fun and popular card so it gets a lot of play. Tibalt's Trickery is a different deal- Arena players figured out a deck for grinding that quickly wins or loses based on random chance.
π§ββ In a move surprising no one given its ubiquity, but still bumming me out because I like the card, Winota is now banned in Explorer with a promise of ongoing review. Tibalt's Trickery is also banned, but nobody that enjoys playing Magic cares about that.
Finally almost done painting our master bedroom. Finished the up the ceiling wall edges and went ahead and retextured and painted a bunch of patches my wife did that I was unsatisfied with. They'll need another coat of paint tomorrow, but should blend in a little better now.
π§ββ I like Alchemy, but the single most untenable thing about it vs. Explorer is that there is no reimbursement for nerfed cards.
π§ββ Finally crafted an Ugin (for the 4C Omnath Adventures sideboard) this morning. Only took me two years to become the Ugin-playing monster I despised as a beginner.π€£
@matigo That looks more like a pump track [mbaction.com]. Certainly fun with a BMX bike too, but often for working on MTB riding technique and generating forward momentum without pedaling.

@matigo I worry about your son. I feel like with you out of the picture he's going to eventually end up bearing the brunt of all her unhappiness and insecurities.
