Yes, an enterprising Russian developer found a way to do some custom firmware stuff and paved the way for some simple third party apps and games. There's even talk of porting RebbleOS onto the hardware, but I think that's just a hypothetical.

The DEVS soundtrack seems to be pretty polarizing, but I've found it be an aptly jarring earworm for these anxious times.

Had an Operations meeting before lunch and while I'm normally not the biggest fan of meetings appreciated getting to hear some of my coworkers voices again for a change.

Looks like the Amazfit Bip is probably my most likely inexpensive replacement smartwatch candidate. $80 for a hackable smartwatch with GPS and great battery life.

Starting to research inexpensive1 replacements and I'll probably see if I can get my Pebble Time to work again in the meantime.

My Pebble 2 HR seems to have finally failed in the expected way.1 Pretty good three year run for a watch I got for $40 after FitBit bought Pebble.
