🏀 Just read that Washington Hall of Fame high school coach Denny Humphrey passed away yesterday morning at the age of 79. It's been 17 years since he retired from coaching at Cheney and once again I'm surprised by how quickly time passes.
The unseasonably cold weather we've had over the last couple days has really dried out the skin on my hands. No cracked skin yet, but I need to track down some moisturizer asap!
🎶 Listening to a lot of Tom Petty in the last week and Into the Great Wide Open in particular (a music rotation mainstay during my freshman year of college). Hard to believe it's already been two years since he died.
📺 The first episode of For All Mankind was pretty good and the show's alternate timeline really raised the stakes of Apollo 11 in a compelling way. It also makes me wonder what will happen with Apollo 13 now. Are there no issues or does it go worse than the actual mission?
⚾ It's crazy to me that the Texas Rangers would need to replace a 25 year-old stadium except for the fact that the replacement is better equipped to deal with global warming than the old one was.
I'm amazed that Republicans are still acting like it's business as usual now that Barr and Pompeo are implicated in the Ukraine call (and a whole lot more Trump-centric service apparently). I also find it hilarious that Trump is so fixated on Biden- it's not 2016 any more.
