Kottke is finally back and it looks like Jason will be writing up a postmortem in the near future. Fairly curious about what happened.
It boggles my mind that Jason Kottke's blog [kottke.org] has been offline for over 24 hours because of some kind of DNS issue. I can only assume that he's going to change registrars after this debacle because there's no way something like this should take so long to correct.
🎙 I really need to develop a new podcast recording routine with the kids. We had a good start this spring and it totally went out the window in May when I started getting busier in the evening.
The shed tear down project out at my mom's house is turning out to be a bit of a bear. Disassembling the roof has gone a lot slower than I had hoped.
Xfinity Mobile updated their iPhone mobile pricing to align with Apple's lineup changes yesterday and will also be taking preorders on the new models at the same time Apple is I think.
On a funny note, only just realized that the midnight green iPhone 11 Pro is the perfect Arrow phone. No wonder I like it so much.
Just saw a petition to make 9/11 a federal holiday. I say no way to that before a National November Election Day holiday happens.
The iPhone XR at the new reduced $600 price point is pretty appealing, I wonder how long it will take Xfinity mobile to adjust their new device purchase pricing to reflect it since they're still in the $750 realm. Probably after the $250 gift card deal they're doing now ends.
The new iPhone 11 Pro has a green model that is so my style that it almost makes me want to figure out some way to afford one!
Just went for a short 10 minute walk around campus in the rain and discovered the front of my pants were completely soaked by the end. Glad I brought a rain jacket today.
