🏀 That Anton Watson dunk was like a Mortal Kombat finishing move on this game. There's still 5:20 left in the third, but Mt. Si is rattled and done.
🏀 9-2 run to close out the half gives G-Prep an eight point cushion. Too many layups- Mt. Si is going to need to shut those down if they want to stay competitive in the second half.
🏀 Prep - Mt. Si is an entertaining back and forth game so far. Prep getting more good looks right at the basket, but Mt. Si hitting shots all over. I think that favors Prep ultimately.
🏀 Prep jumped on Richland right away and leads 15-6 as the first quarter ends. Bad sign that Guice is playing so much, Richland is missing quick shots and Sorn not getting touches.
🏀 Richland shows absolutely no ill effects from yesterday's loss to Federal Way and dominates Kentridge 83-59. Northrop had 36 points. G-Prep, Mt. Si, and Federal Way did a much better job of containing him in their wins over Richland.
🏀 The GSL has representatives in the four state title games: Mt. Spokane boys and girls in the 3A Finals and G-Prep boys, LC girls in the 4A Finals. I'm pretty sure that has never happened before.
🏀 Prep will face Mt. Si in the championship game tomorrow night. I expect them to win unless Mt. Si has improved significantly since Ferris beat them in the Fitz.
🏀 The two best players on both Federal Way and G-Prep have four fouls now with 4:45 to go. Prep trails by 4.
🏀 Wow! Liam Lloyd ends the half with a foul and a T to end up with 4 fouls after an otherwise stellar first two quarters for G-Prep. The Bullpups lead 37-31 at the half, but are going to have to dig deep with Lloyd limited by fouls.
Getting more ruthless with my podcast queue overhaul today after noting all the old episodes and deciding to make some changes. Unsubscribed from a few shows that I'm just never getting around to any more and actively considering a few more. It's time to make room for new ones!
