My recent javascript fiddling around has led me down a ScriptKit [scriptkit.com] rabbit hole. It's early days, but this is a really cool project for messing around with javascript on a Mac.
Inspired by a Fish shell function that Brett Terpstra wrote to put a mono space ANSI character box around a single line of text, came up with a JavaScript function that does the same thing for the multi line scenario. Tomorrow I’ll see if I can start piping fortunes into it.
@matigo The big question is what they're doing in that regard with Gaal, the apparent protagonist of the first two episodes.
@matigo Hari Seldon was always going to live on in his video recordings, but the writers have actually made some pretty clever choices with the Emperor(s) and his executive assistant lady to allow us to invest in those characters across the extended timescale of the narrative too.
I feel like they're sticking with the important parts while creating and developing interesting characters we can invest in, the singular challenge is to find ways to do that across the lengthy timescale of the narrative.
📺Foundation episode 2 seems to be fairly polarizing. Anyone that thought they were going to do some kind of direct adaptation was pretty naive. The underlying story and concepts are great, but the original trilogy is so dry, of its time (early 1950s), and overhyped.
⚽ My hot take is that Spurs should bench Kane and go back to the Man City lineup.
⚽ Harry Kane just broke his own ankles to give that away. Ultimately leads to a third goal. Utter embarrassment.
⚽ 0-1 Arsenal after a well executed and poorly defended goal. Spurs nowhere near as threatening so far.
