New Bike!

I have my bike. Time for a test ride now.

The weird weather continues. As I was coming out of the grocery store prior to picking up my new bike I had to contend with a sun/rain/snow mix.

New Bike Tomorrow?

I found out that my new bike finally arrived today. Unfortunately it still needs to be assembled. If I'm lucky they'll get it done by the end of the day otherwise it's supposed to be ready tomorrow morning.

The track meet yesterday was fairly entertaining. I didn't make it to the grocery store though.

Where Did The Week Go?

I can't believe yet another week has zipped by on me.

There's a big track meet at Hart field that I'll probably have to stop by since it's sort of in my neighborhood and Nichole will be running.

I need groceries anyway and my store of choice is right across the street.

Apartment Cleaning

Today was rearrange and clean my apartment day, but it looks like I'm going to have to continue tomorrow.

This early morning daylight thing is seriously messing with my sleep cycle. I'm feeling tired and going to bed around 11pm then I'm waking up around 5:30am!

It probably doesn't help that I've been cutting down on my caffeine intake lately too.

Bloomsday Next Year?

It's clear to me as I sit here looking out my office window that I was a little optimistic with my choice of clothing today. Still, I was tired of wearing pants… I guess that's just the price you pay sometimes.

The Spokesman Review's Bloomsday coverage is pretty cool this year. You can already look up the finishing time for everyone who ran the race and even find their finish line photo as well.

I should really make an effort to be in good shape for next year's race. I think breaking 50 minutes would be a pretty good goal for me to shoot for.

Tired

I'm really feeling tired as I right this. And when I start writing in homonyms that's clearly a symptom. LOL

Kristen and I took her new (used) car over to Nichole's to show it off and take her out to ice cream. I got a strawberry sundae. It was excellent.

It turns out my bike didn't ship out from the factory until last Friday. At least it should be ready by the weekend now.

Bloomsday

Today was the first rainy Bloomsday in the history of the race. I'm glad I wasn't running it today.

I hope my bike shows up soon.

All things considered, today was a very good day.

New Shelves

I found a couple bookshelves at Office Depot that I liked quite a bit so I bought them both. It was a pain hauling them up to my apartment though since my elevator doesn't seem to be functioning currently. It's a good thing Kristen's been pumping iron for a while.

We actually got a nice little dose of rain today. From what I hear they're expecting more of the same for Bloomsday tomorrow.

It took me forever to get my two bookshelves assembled. Hopefully I didn't annoy my neighbors too much with my hammering.

Videos With Kristen

No bike yet, but today was definitely a most excellent day anyway!

I test drove Kristen's new means of transportation and watched a couple videos with her. Home Fries was basically lame I thought, while Gattaca was as good as I remembered it being.

Headache

My bike is in UPS shipping limbo. After calling Wheelsport just about everyday this week I decided to leave my name and number and let them call me when my bike arrives.

I've got a headache and I'm tired. Hopefully I will be able to get to sleep decently tonight. I've woken up well before my alarm most of this week despite not being able to fall asleep immediately when I go to bed.

I didn't see her race, but I hear that Nichole PR'd with a 12:17 in the 3200 today. Nice Job! It had to be the cd right?
