It's pretty gross that someone who had a major role in bringing blogging to the masses in the late 90s and early 2000s has so much disdain for the open web. Look closely at the URL for this announcement (I suspect it is uniquely coded to show I got this link from Jason Kottke). Try to get to it by just going to the front page of evhead.com. For the moment you can't and to get future posts it looks like you have to subscribe on Medium. No thanks.
