🧙♂ Lots of cool future set announcements from WotC today. A viking themed one this winter, a magic school themed one in the spring, and then next summer a standard legal D&D crossover set in the Forgotten Realms. Oh, and Inistrad is coming to Arena Historic next fall as well.
🧙♂ I feel like the set mastery passes on Arena are a completely fair value and if you're a reasonably successful drafter you can do it entirely free to play. But man, so many complainers on social media. The set preorder packages are also a fair value, but lack flexibility.
Surprising late August weather day. Cool with scattered clouds that look ready to start raining. My office feels pleasantly warm compared to the rest of the house.
🎙It's been an interesting summer for my podcasting listening habits. I've basically put almost all of my Mac/tech related podcasts on hiatus and focused on a bunch of different Magic the Gathering stuff. It's been a nice summer vacation from my usual actually.

🧙♂ I was kind of interested in the Nahiri preorder bundle for Zendikar Rising, but then I realized that I'd probably rather just spend some money on a general gem pack that I can allocate to one or two Sealed events, a mastery pass, and cheaper Quick Drafts of my choosing.
🧙♂ Cube Cobra [cubecobra.com] is a really impressive cube building web app and a great way to test out ideas and viability before you actually spend any money.
🧙♂ After discovering how cheap bulk paper commons are for recent sets thinking about building a small (360 card) Pauper cube and/or possibly a Peasant one based on Throne of Eldraine commons and uncommons in the next couple months.
