Another super hot day. Just realized the I never covered the pool for the night. Wonder if there's anyone still up to help me do that.
🧙♂ Finished 5-3 with an Azorius draft deck that felt underpowered going in, but was obviously better than I realized. Had mostly favorable games, without any super aggro matchups until the last game.
🧙♂ The Dimir Rogues constructed deck I'm working on is completely common wildcard constrained at the moment. I could use a couple more rares for an optimal build, but it's the missing commons that are going to make it viable.
Another scorcher today with more on the way this week. If I'm going to get in a run tomorrow it's probably going to need to be before work because it's not cool off much before nightfall.
🧙♂ I've played 4 games now and I think every opponent has been a Dimir mirror match except for one that also splashed red and had a perfect mana draw to get out a bunch of big creatures I couldn't deal with. Still alive, but going on a run before I play another.
🧙♂ Just picked up my best Quick Draft victory yet with a Dimir deck. Down 3-20 and 1 turn away from doom managed to get Waker of Whales on the board to stabilize and then used a Mind Rot followed by a Rain of Revelation to give myself a big hand advantage and take control.
Looks like the controller in our oven is probably hosed. Broil heating element keeps coming on when it's supposed to just be the baking element.
🧙♂ Played a cool Rakdos Treason deck this morning with 3 different creature hijacking mechanics and I haven't been able to find anything like it on mtggoldfish and aetherhub. Unclear if it's a really good under the radar deck or it just had an optimal draw against me.
The small 12' above ground pool we set up this week seems to be a hit with the kids. Yesterday evening the water was pretty cold, but at 90°F today I guess it's about perfect.
