My son with the December birthday just picked out his own birthday card 2.5 months early!? It's a cool Star Wars card with sound effects and an LED light saber that probably won't still be for sale in two months, so I understand why Mary said okay, but still funny.
Had a minor heating crisis over the last couple days when our furnace refused to do battle with the unseasonable cold, but a new air filter and a power reset seems to have restored its cold fighting prowess.

This morning the two-year-old overheard a contractor at the neighbors say "crap". She squared up her little shoulders and addressed the perpetrator in her gruffest voice, "Don't. You. Say. Crap!" 😂
My two-year-old daughter just asked, "Are you serious?" in her sternest voice when I got out some Country Buttermilk bread to make her jam and toast. It's what we always use so I reflected the question back.

Woken up by a lot of sirens over on Highway 2. Haven't found anything on Twitter yet, but wondering if there's been a serious accident somewhere near our house.
🏃 Time for a cold run in the rain. First time I've needed to layer up in ages, but I think I can still skip gloves for this one.
Nice rainy day today for the first time in months. It's amazing how much faster my morning routine goes when I'm not setting sprinklers!
