Back to work and sorting emails- mostly mailing lists and inconsequential stuff thankfully.
Well, that's about it for this vacation. Definitely productive out in the yard, but tiring!
@matigo Yeah, it was great, the younger kids even got pony rides, but we hauled a bunch of stuff in a stroller and I had to push it all back up the big hill to our house! Now I need a nap before Mary's parents come over for the evening barbecue at our house.
Went to a nice open air socially distant barbecue by a creek in one of our neighbor's down the hill's pasture land. It kind of reminded me of the summer family gatherings from my childhood out at my grandparents' and aunt's Valley, WA farms (they were next door neighbors).
🎮I like how the MTGA color challenges are part tutorial and part game play scenario puzzle, but I'm definitely stuck on one at the moment.
@matigo Cancel culture and social mob justice is both absurd and terrifying. Kind of like 2020 in general actually.
Made a couple passes with the rented plate compactor, took a quick lunch break, and now I'm back to adding more material before I compact again.
🏃♂ Pleasant run this morning on a windy and overcast day. Heard today that Bloomsday will be accommodating virtual runners this year if you are uncomfortable participating on September 20th (or it simply isn't possible to safely hold the race). So I'm planning on virtual.
🎮MTGA is fun, but I'm terrible as soon as I face new (to me) cards with complex mechanics and human opponents.
🎮Discovered that Magic the Gathering Arena has a Mac version today and had fun playing through some of the tutorial games tonight. The last time I played MtG was via the original iPad version several years ago.
