Every few years I'll spend a little time poking around ancestry.com (without signing up) to see if there's any relevant new information about my great great great grandpa who was born somewhere in Massachusetts in ~1799, but I've still found no leads on his birthplace or parents.

Not at all! I'd much rather experience that risk and reward vicariously. More generally I admire the way she committed herself fully to learning a new skill. That's something most people can't and won't do.

It's going to be interesting to see when they stop releasing intel versions of macOS. Seems likely that they will continue to support the intel hardware they sell for at least three years, and they're two years away from moving all hardware to ARM.

Trying out the cheap bluetooth earbuds I ordered last week. Fit and sound quality is pretty good for the $20 I spent. Next test will be seeing how well they do on today's run.

Successfully resolved the SSL cert issue at work that's been causing Mac management headaches for a few weeks this morning. Now watching the WWDC keynote.
