Don't really want to be here today, but everybody else at my house has a bad cold that I'd like to avoid. Slept in late, but still had no problem finding street parking when I got here so that was a plus.
🏃♂ Easy half hour run turned out okay. Mostly sprinkled and my feet didn't get too soaked. Think I'm going to just keep my gear on and head straight to the shower when I get home.
@matigo well, I have 3 or 4 of my short 5-6K mainstays (which I can also run in reverse), but depending on time and ambition I have another 10 I can pick from in the 1 hour to 1:10 range. If I'm in the middle of a marathon training plan I've got even longer options.
Just about time for another rainy run. Just need to get changed and decide where I'm going to go.
@matigo I'm not privy to all the details, but he was in his 60s and had lived with paralysis since sustaining a spinal cord injury in his childhood. I am in awe of his writing output and the positive impact he had on so many just by typing one character at a time with a stylus.
📺 Arrow S8E9 Green Arrow and the Canaries (the backdoor pilot for a show built around those three) was more compelling than I had anticipated, hopefully they'll officially order a season soon.
A decent night of rain always floods the rightmost lane at the beginning of Nevada when I turn off Highway 2 and today was even worse than usual. I remembered to take the higher leftmost turn lane and it was still fully immersed in 6" of water!
Looks like we're going to have rain off and on for the next 24 hours. Beats snow, but it's going to be a cold wet run tomorrow.
Just heard that the "founding father" of one of the sports related forums that I've been a member of for almost two decades passed away a few days ago. I don't read the site as often as I used to, but still super bummed out to lose a beloved figure in that community.
