🎙⚽ Discovered the Stadio podcast yesterday thanks to Grant Wahl's podcast and now there's actually one Spotify exclusive podcast that I want to add to my rotation. Musa Okwonga blows me away- such a smart, knowledgable, multi-talented, and charismatic guy!
@matigo Seems fine so far, although I had to delete some large apps that I never use (Keynote/Pages/Numbers) to free up enough space beforehand.
Realized I'd never gotten around to updating my iPhone to iOS 14 so plunging ahead with the 14.1 update.
🧙♂ Got to Silver on the constructed ladder with my Rogues-Slitherwisp deck, but it was a slog. So many mirrors and so much removal in the meta. Getting to gold by the end of the month is probably going to be more challenging than I expected.
The rest of the family is away for appointments and a visit to the grandparents; unfortunately our cat doesn't seem happy to have the upstairs to himself. So much plaintive meowing.😐
🧙♂ Inspired by yesterday's matchup threw together an Azorius Party deck and played a couple games on my lunch break. It's no top tier deck, but it's still pretty fun and Trapfinder is a serious advantage engine once you get a party going.
🧙♂ I thought I still owned all three books of the original Dragonlance Chronicles trilogy (which I read sometime around 6th or 7th grade), but now I'm not sure that I ever did. I probably checked out the first two at the library and bought the third (which I still have).
🧙♂ Made some more progress on my ladder climb yesterday and ended at Bronze Tier 1. Played my Mono Black Auras deck again to moderate success, but lost in a 27 minute grinder match against a nice UW Party deck- probably should have scooped after about 10 minutes.
🧙♂ Finally built a Zendikar Rising updated Rogues deck based on the Slitherwisp build that CGB streamed a couple days ago. Only spent one rare wildcard to complete the Dimir flipland playset and holding off on several additional Rare/Mythic lands for now.
🧙♂ WotC/Hasbro executives make some puzzling decisions. Stiffing the original best-selling Dragonlance authors (Hickman & Weis) after they spent a couple years developing a new trilogy for the popular D&D setting without properly terminating the contract seems laughable.
