Here's the story of a game I made in 1994, when I was 12, that somehow -- like some kind of lost, drunken cat -- finally found its way home on Christmas Eve after 25 years.

Amazing Twitter thread about a long lost game that developer Rick Brewster wrote as a kid. Unbeknownst to him it ended up in the Internet Archive and then somebody streamed it on Twitch a couple days ago!

🏀 It's going to be a little chilly, but watching tonight's game between Gonzaga and Carolina (an impossible ticket for most Spokanites that aren't already season ticket holders) on the big screen in the renovated Riverfront Park Pavilion is going to be an awesome community event. Think I'm going to run through there during my afternoon run just to see how it looks.

🏀 Degenhart has now firmly taken over the league scoring race with 29.6 ppg. Liam Lloyd's scoring has dropped off significantly over the last four games (21.1 ppg over 7 games now), but he's getting more help from his teammates and Prep is 3-1 over this span.

Ferris came back to beat Shadle Park 75-52 after a terrible first half left them trailing the Highlanders 24-28 at the break.

🎙 John Siracusa finally orders his new Mac Pro (and matching uber expensive display) after nearly a decade of waiting and saving his money! Who knew that configuring and ordering a computer could be so entertaining? ATP fans like me, that's who. Pure Siracusa gold.

Degenhart and Gonzaga Prep's Liam Lloyd are continuing to tear it up out of the gate with Lloyd still averaging over 30 ppg through three games and Degenhart right behind at 29.25 ppg through four.

In Ferris news, McCoy Spink had a 27 point outburst against Rogers as the shorthanded Saxons (two starters out with the flu) cruised to a 69-26 victory.

In depth discussion of the pros and cons of MacPorts vs. Homebrew when it comes to managing software packages in macOS that I found in May. I've been using Homebrew on all my Macs for several years, but I have never been entirely happy with it and I feel like this blog post makes a pretty good case for switching back to MacPorts based on security and community. 🍿Donnie Yen is in the new live action Mulan?! Sold! Between the story and martial arts this actually looks like the most promising live action remake that Disney has done yet.

🏈 If the Cougars win their upcoming bowl game Leach will have averaged 7 wins a season during his tenure to date. Not sure if that fully justifies his $4,000,000 price tag, but that seems to be par for the course these days. Considering WSU is now qualifying for bowls even on down years and has gone to 5 straight for the first time ever he's clearly had a big impact on the program as a whole.

🏀 The amazing thing to me was not that Lloyd scored 46, but G-Prep, historically one of GSL's best defensive programs under Coach McIntyre, gave up 87 points to Central Valley.

In other GSL news, Ferris opened the season with a 66-45 non league victory over Coeur d'Alene. Looking forward to watching the video today.
