Old Alarm Clock

Something is wrong with my alarm clock. It's off by up to one half hour in the morning even when I've reset it during the night. Considering I've had it for almost 15 years it's probably about time to retire it anyway.

Trek 7500SHX

After a day of mulling over my bike purchasing options I went for the gusto and ordered this beauty.

trek7500shx

It should arrive about a week from today.

Kristen and I successfully burned our first music cd tonight. It was really quick once we selected all the tunes we wanted. That took a long time though.

Bike Shopping

My visit to Wheelsport yesterday was pretty fruitful. I tried out two of the main models I was thinking about, the Trek 7500 and the Trek 7500 SHX. Front shocks make a huge difference in the feel of the bike!

I went out to my family's to try making a cd with Kristen, but I forgot one important thing- the blank cdr’s! Doh!

I also watched Futurama of course. It was definitely the best one to date.

Destination Wheelsport

I'm looking forward to having my own bike and riding it to work on a daily basis. Hopefully I'll be able to negotiate the downtown traffic without too much trouble.

I'm going to go to Wheelsport after work to check out the bike models I'm interested in.

I successfully burned my first cdr last night and then I optimized my hard drive.

Now I need to try my hand at music cds.

Sunday Shopping

Today I took a little trip to the local CompUSA and picked up a few items. I now have a 25 pack of recordable CDs, a new USB mouse with two buttons and a scroll wheel, and a cool book about color on the web.

I finally beat the pesky level in StarCraft that I was stuck on thanks to a helpful tidbit from a StarCraft strategy guide. The next level has a good plot twist as well!

I went to the Trek website to look at bicycles. I like the looks of the 7300 and 7500 hybrid models.

I successfully burned my first cdr last night and then I optimized my hard drive. Now I need to try my hand at music cds.

Pasco Invite

I spent the majority of the day down in hot sunny Pasco watching the Pasco Invite track meet. Thanks to ample doses of sunscreen I even avoided significant sunburns which is always a plus. Overall Ferris didn’t do all that well, but it was fun all the same.

New CDR/RW

Much to my surprise my new USB CDR/RW arrived today. It's time to do some serious backups!

I'm headed for Pasco bright and early tomorrow morning for the big track meet they have every year. It should be pretty cool!

Tax Day

Hey it's Tax Day! I finished mine up over the weekend, although I'm not sure why I hadn't done it a lot earlier.

Today started off kind of poorly when I overslept and was late for work. It was a great day otherwise. I even wore shorts!

Nichole PR'd today by an amazing 17 seconds when she turned in a 3200 time of 12:22! I guess you're going to have to come up with some new goals Chunky because there's a lot of season left! 11:57 at regionals anyone?

Halfway Through the Week

Halfway through yet another week. Yeah baby yeah!

I talked to my friend Felicia for the first time in a couple weeks. She seems to be doing pretty well. She's going to Africa on a three week mission trip with her church at the end of April. I imagine she'll have a lot of interesting stories to tell when she gets back.

I've been thinking some about things I want to do with my site here, but I haven't implemented anything yet. Maybe tomorrow.

At work it looks like I should be able to manage the school website using Frontier and hopefully we will be using it to serve our website in house as well. That would mean discussion groups and a lot of other cool dynamic things. Here’s a great explanation of Frontier 6 by Matt Neuberg.

Futurama Night

It's Futurama time once again!

Futurama was definitely pretty funny tonight. Bender was more outrageous than ever.

I'm liking the sunny weather we've been having so far this week, but I wouldn't mind a little rain again.

I finally figured out how to do extended server logs through Pair. It's not like I'm getting a lot of hits at this point, but it should be both useful and interesting once I submit my site to the various search engines and or web rings. I'm not to the point yet where I want to do that however.
